Based on 755,731 sales with a usable recorded price. Prices are as declared and may not reflect full market value.
Registered land in Ireland is recorded in folios. A folio describes the property, and a map attached to it shows the extent of the land.
A mapped parcel is therefore a registered extent rather than a survey of individual boundary points. It shows where a property sits and roughly how large it is.
Freehold parcels make up the large majority of mapped land. Leasehold parcels cover land held under a lease, for example in some towns and cities, and are mapped alongside them.
The coverage figures count both kinds of parcel together.
Residential sales are filed and entered on a public record. AcreBound summarises that record into yearly counts and price statistics, without showing any individual transaction.
Recorded prices are as declared. Some entries are flagged as not being the full market price, and these are left out of the price statistics, though they remain in the transaction count.
The county table shows how many parcels are mapped in each of the 26 counties and how large a typical parcel is. Rural counties tend to have larger parcels than counties dominated by towns and cities.
AcreBound currently focuses its in-app parcel experience on the United States.
Support for Ireland is being prepared for a future version of the AcreBound iOS app.
